Eko La Wa // Dis Is Lagos: Workshop on Installation, Art and Public Space in Lagos
The Arthouse Foundation presented a workshop by artists-in-residence Native Maqari and Mukhtara Yusuf on June 28, 2018, 10 AM-4 PM, at the British Council, 20 Thompson Avenue, Ikoyi. The focus of this workshop was to address social issues concerning Lagos as a city and efforts to make art that intervenes, transforming obstacles into tools and subjects.
The artists discussed how their own work intervenes in space, and worked with participants on cultivating similar challenging, opportunity oriented thinking.
