Arthouse Foundation are pleased to present Traces: Contemporary Africa, a group exhibition in partnership with Tabari Art Space in Dubai, featuring artists Tyna Adebowale, Nengi Omuku, Thierry Oussou and Sokari Douglas Camp CBE.
Tyna Adebowale, Nengi Omuku and Thierry Oussou each undertook three-month residencies with the Arthouse Foundation in Lagos, creating new artistic projects that incorporate painting, drawing and mixed media. Their work explores contemporary social issues, ranging from cultural identity to gender and mental health. Sokari Douglas Camp CBE, an artist based in London, creates steel sculptures that are inspired by her Kalabari heritage and broader aspects of of African culture.
